Rules Of Competition

Welcome to One Lap Wonder, a Sunshine Coast community challenge with one simple rule: you only get one shot.

Enter for free, get randomly selected, and take on Australia’s largest commercial go-kart track at Big Kart Track, Landsborough.

Drivers are randomly selected. Each driver gets one timed lap, a place on the leaderboard — and if you finish the season in the top three, you’re back for the Grand Final, where the winner takes $5,000 cash and bragging rights for life.

  • Sunshine Coast & Noosa residents only

  • Must be 18 years or older at the time of entry

  • Minimum height: 152cm

  • Entry is free

This season is filmed at Big Kart Track Landsborough. Not a Sunshine Coast or Noosa local? Don’t stress — we’ll be running more One Lap Wonder-style competitions in other locations soon.

  • Entry if Free!

  • Enter via the official form Here

  • Provide your details (name, date of birth, email, mobile, suburb of residents on Sunshine Coast or Noosa).

  • To be eligible, you must be following at least one official social media account from both: AX Compensation Lawyers, and The Big Kart Track

  • If you’re not following both brands at the time you’re selected, your entry may be disqualified and the spot reallocated.
  • Entrants are selected at random from all eligible entries.

  • We’ll select one contestant each week (until all 21 spots are filled for Season 1).

  • If you’re selected, we’ll contact you using the details you provided in the entry form.

  • You must be available on the nominated filming day (intended Tuesday mornings, 7:00am–9:00am). If you can’t attend, your spot may be withdrawn and offered to another entrant.

  • Selected entrants may be asked to show valid photo ID on the day to confirm age and identity.
  • You’ll receive one (1) warm-up lap to learn the track — this lap is not timed and doesn’t count.

  • After that, you’ll complete one (1) official timed lap.

  • Only your single timed lap counts toward the leaderboard.

  • Your name and time will be added to the leaderboard and ranked fastest to slowest.

  • At the end of the season, the three (3) fastest drivers on the leaderboard will be invited back for the Grand Final.

  • For full Terms & Conditions (including go-karting waivers), see the entry form.
  • At the end of the season, the top three (3) drivers on the leaderboard will be invited back for the Grand Final.

  • Each finalist will complete a new time trial under the same filmed conditions.

  • The fastest driver on Grand Final day will be crowned the One Lap Wonder Champion of 2026.

  • If a finalist can’t attend on the set date, their place may be offered to the next fastest driver.
  • Not only will the One Lap Wonder Season 1 winner take home an amazing trophy, glory and bragging rights for life, but they’ll also win $5,000 cash!

Even if you don’t set the fastest lap, you can still do something great.

If you beat the benchmark lap time (set by AX Compensation Lawyers), we’ll donate $100 to SunnyKids. It’s a simple way to turn a fast lap into real support for local kids and families — and make the day about more than just the leaderboard.
