Jed McNamara

Jed McNamara is a highly experienced personal injury lawyer with more than 30 years’ legal expertise.

Throughout his career, Jed has acted for everyday people during some of the most difficult periods of their lives. He has broad experience across personal injury law, including motor vehicle accident claims, WorkCover claims, public liability claims and other claims brought under Queensland’s Personal Injuries Proceedings Act.

Jed is trained in trauma-informed practice, which allows him to guide clients through the legal, technical and emotional complexities of a compensation claim with sensitivity, compassion and integrity.

Jed is known for explaining legal issues in a clear and relatable way, helping clients understand their options and feel supported throughout the process. His approach combines empathy, practical guidance and strong advocacy.

In recent years, Jed has built a strong reputation representing survivors and victims of historical child abuse, helping clients across Australia pursue compensation claims against institutions. He has also been involved in significant appellate litigation, including matters before the Queensland Court of Appeal and High Court of Australia.

Jed completed his Bachelor of Laws at Bond University in 1992, followed by a Diploma of Legal Practice at Queensland University of Technology in 1993. He was admitted as a Solicitor in Queensland in 1993 and is registered on the Roll of Practitioners in the High Court of Australia. He is also a member of the Queensland Law Society and Australian Lawyers Alliance.
